Take a look at this article in Elle magazine, which points out that hardly anyone is ‘perfect’ in shape (whatever that means!). It acknowledges the positive response that curvy figures arouse in men, as well as the power of the media in dictating what we should find attractive. Food for thought….
In other words, “perfect” is the problem. What we need, it seems almost too obvious to point out, is a spectrum of beauty that includes slim and curvy, rectangular and spoonish and top-heavy (and everything in between)—so that we can stop trying to be whatever it is that we’re not.
